June 13, 2017 (Stuart, FL) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties (BBBS) honored dedicated mentors, children, and board members with a wonderful volunteer appreciation luncheon on Thursday, June 8, 2017. The luncheon would not have been possible without former Board Member and Bonefish Grill Managing Partner Allen Armstrong, who generously underwrote delicious meals. The talented Bonefish Grill Stuart staff worked before business hours and generously served their signature Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, side salad, and a delicious entrée’ of Grouper, mashed potatoes, and, green beans. Children who attended with their “Big Brother” or “Big Sister” mentors shared the transformative impact the program has had on their life, as well as the lives of their families.

In addition to recognizing volunteer contributions, BBBS of Palm Beach and Martin Counties honored CEO, Bill Bee, as he prepares for retirement. The staff of BBBS presented Mr. Bee with a small token of their appreciation and well wishes from all in attendance.  Mr. Bee has served as CEO to the agency over the last 13 years and has been a mentor to his Little Brother Patrick for 12 years. Although Patrick is now 18 years old, his relationship with Mr. Bee remains strong. Patrick was pleased to speak about his admiration for their relationship through Big Brothers Big Sisters. Patrick stated, “He kept me out of trouble and he saved me.”
