BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTER’S BIG TASTE OF MARTIN COUNTY RAISED ATTENDANCE, AWARENESS, COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND MONEY FOR PROGRAMS

October 20, 2017- (Stuart, FL) – Known as the Big Taste of Martin County, this annual fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties was held for the first time at The Stuart Jet Center on Tuesday, October 10th.

 

This premier food and wine festival of the Treasure Coast delighted hundreds of attendees.
The jet hanger was a great place for this fundraiser. Nearly 700 people attended from the community to support Big Brothers Big Sisters.

There was wall to wall food and drinks by restaurants throughout Martin County sampling and serving up bites of their signature dishes. All attendees were invited to vote on their favorites.
The winners were: Best Beverage -Cultured Cocktails, Best Frozen Dessert- Whit’s Frozen Custard, Best Appetizer –Stuart Boathouse, Best Dessert- Martin County Highschool Culinary Arts, Best Soup- The Gafford, Best Entrée’ and Best Presentation- Kyle G’s Prime seafood & Steaks.

The community came together for an evening of fun, food, wine, and music.  Emceed by Virginia Sinicki (a former Big Sister) from the KVJ Show on 97.9 WRMF, the entertainment from the Samantha Russell Band kept the music going all night long from pop hits to country chart toppers. By the end of the evening guests were dancing.

The silent auction and raffles were a big hit as many bid on the sought-after prizes from places like Disney, Aquatica, SeaWorld, Marriott, Florida Panthers and many more. For an upgrade, guests could enjoy the new Hospitality Tent area that was sponsored by: JetLoan Capital, Laird Smith and Treasure Coast Estate Buyers.
The evening brought together everyone for an incredible cause as the Big Taste of Martin County supported their mission to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever throughout Palm Beach and Martin Counties. The event raised over $50,000 allowing Big Brothers Big Sisters to continue to impact lives of young children of our community.

Stuart, FL (May 4, 2011)- Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties, Inc. (BBBS) at Roger Dean Stadium on May 28th to watch the Palm Beach Cardinals take on the Lakeland Flying Tigers!

Roger Dean Stadium’s ‘Slammin’ Saturdays’ offers a full evening of fun with live music and a grand finale fireworks display.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Big Brothers Big Sisters this year for Slammin Saturdays,” said Lisa Fegley, Assistant General Manager at Roger Dean Stadium. “We’re looking forward to a great time!”
