Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties is piloting an innovative new summer School to Work mentoring program that will provide Palm Beach County at-risk youth with the critical skills needed to achieve their full career potential through a mentoring relationship with a caring adult role model. By partnering with us, companies are making an investment in the development of the next generation of leaders.
Youth are matched in one to one mentoring relationships with company employees who, through structured program activities, help map out the children’s futures. Each program day is designed and facilitated by a BBBS School to Work Coordinator. Our goal is to make the program as easy as possible for our business partners. Our School to Work Coordinator takes care of all the details in planning and coordinating program logistics. We work with our partners to tailor programming to best meet the needs of the company and the youth we serve.
Thank you to our current partners including Palm Beach County Youth Services, Lost Tree Village Charitable Foundation, William and Helen Thomas Charitable Trust, NetOne Technologies, Ranger Construction, and Delray Medical Center.
BBBS is now seeking other Palm Beach corporations to establish additional School to Work mentoring sites. If you think your company would be interested in exploring a School to Work partnership, please contact us at LCherilus@mentorbig.org.
