Stuart, FL (April 28, 2018) – The Big Golf Outing was held on April 20th at Eagle Marsh Golf Club. Golfers started their day greeted by show-stopping cars from new sponsor, Jaguar Land Rover of the Treasure Coast. Ronnie DeChambeau gave a stellar performance of the National Anthem on his saxophone to send the golfers off. Throughout the day, golfers enjoyed on-course excitement, including the golf “cannon” from Florida Charity Golf Events, and the opportunity to win a new car lease from Advantage Ford!

Upon returning to the Club House, golfers were greeted with a delicious buffet and smiling faces from the tremendous staff at Eagle Marsh. Local businesses and organizations donated a large variety of items to create an incredible silent auction spread that resulted in more than a few bidding wars amongst the golfers. Board member and long-time supporter, Ken Ringe, took the time to speak to all in attendance about his involvement in the program, and the impact the programs have in our community. Golfers’ hearts (and wallets) were thrown wide open when event committee member, Michelle Constantin’s Little Sister, Gracie, made a guest appearance. Gracie picked the winning ticket for the 50/50 raffle that resulted in one lucky golfer going home with $400 in his pocket!

With the help of our sponsors – Andrew and Robin Hunt, Laird Smith, Jaguar Land Rover of the Treasure Coast, Jensen Beach Plumbing, and Alpha Zeta Enterprises – and the generosity of the participants on the day of the event, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties was able to raise $11,187.95, all of which will benefit the children participating in our mentoring programs! Big Brothers Big Sisters would like to give a special thank you to all of our sponsors, participants, and especially the members of the event committee – Ed Bee, Michelle Constantin, Jo Neeson and Pamela Ball. The combined efforts of all involved made the event the BIG success that it was.
