On Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, our Big Brothers Big Sisters family gathered for one of the most heartwarming events of the summer — the Back-to-School Shopping Bash. Thanks to the incredible generosity of BBBS Alumni Board member Robert Certilman, each Little received a $150 gift card to shop for school supplies, clothes, and other essentials to kick off the new school year with confidence and excitement.
Mentors and Littles began the day at the BBBS tent, where the energy was buzzing with anticipation. Lists in hand, they headed into the stores together, turning shopping into a fun-filled bonding experience. From picking out the perfect first-day outfit to finding the coolest lunchbox or backpack, every purchase was another step toward making the upcoming school year brighter and more successful.
The shopping trip wasn’t just about new supplies — it was about connection. Bigs and guardians helped Littles make thoughtful choices, offered guidance on budgeting, and shared in the joy of preparing for a fresh start. And while the day was full of laughter and smiles, the impact goes far deeper: Littles walked away feeling supported, empowered, and ready to tackle the year ahead.
